                         Sonata No. 2 by Pavel Kopecký is characteristic by explosive eruption of the first and last

                         movements of toccata diction and great invention of melody and sound effects in slow middle

                         movement. Kopecký well understands possibilities and needs of modern piano sound – in this

                         respect already his graduate´s piano concerto proved a number of sympathetic features of

                         the composer´s expression. This piano sonata does not leave us in dark about Kopecký´s musician

                         fund and great sound imagination just in the field of piano work, as well.
